OB Monaco Tree Planting Day in Peira Cava

OB Monaco is proud to introduce a special ecological and environmental tree planting day in Association with www.pourlaterre.org , La Fondation Sancta Devota and la Fondation Albert II. This took place on 2nd May in the presence of our Patron HSH Prince Albert II. During a day that united Outward Bounders, young people from the Association Jeune Jécoute, and young people from local sports associations in the Alpes Maritimes, 100 new trees were planted in an area requiring reforestation in the beautiful mountainous area of Peira Cava.

Not only were the young people physically challenged on the Peira Cava Accrobranch circuit in the morning, but they spent the afternoon planting the new trees and joining in a concert that has been thematically planned around forestry and ecology. A special CD with songs from well-known artists has been produced to mark the occasion and OB Monaco is particularly proud to confirm that Sting has donated a song to the OB CD.

The day was designed to raise awareness in young people of the need to care and nurture our natural resources. We hope this will become an annual event.
